Yes, one Ocean Bottle cup purchased funds the removal of around 1,000 plastic bottles from rivers and seas.
Plastic bottles are removed from rivers, waterways and local communities in Brazil, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia and the Philippines, with 372 communities benefiting from a formalised waste management infrastructure. Collectors can then exchange the collected plastic for money or social resources such as healthcare and education.
