  • Chilly’s is all about cutting down on waste by encouraging people to reuse. The result was “a modern and stylish product designed to combine the convenience of a plastic water bottle, with the high performance technology and eco-friendly benefits of a traditional flask.” So there you have it.

  • They have been around since 2010, although it is more recently that the bottles have become so ubiquitous. It is hard to go out now without seeing one, or an imitation of one.

  • They are made from high-grade stainless steel, inside and outside (they have a double-wall which enables them to stay cold for up to 24 hours).

  • No. It is not recommended to put your bottle in a dishwasher and you can find more information about cleaning your bottle on their site here.

  • No. It won’t hurt in the fridge but nor will it do any good. The vacuum that keeps your drink cold also works to stop the fridge chilling it further. Best advice is to get your drink cold first, then fill up the bottle. Add ice cubes if you want (remember that ice expands, so leave some room if you do!)

    As for the freezer, same rule applies but this might also damage the bottle or seals. Just don’t do it.
