Combine Processes
Stronger together
Blind embossing, foil print and digital print are all quite common methods of branding a notebook. However, they are rarely used together and yet they can easily be combined.
This example showcases how easy it is to combine (and align) a foil print with a blind embossing, with digital print adding a finishing touch.

Negative Space
Work with the product
Sometimes the idea can be so simple it just gets overlooked. Combining the cover colour into the design and using it as a negative space can make for a stronger finished result.
Using the background colour in this way avoids any slight contrast between print and cover and helps bind the design and book together.

Full Bleed
Use all available space
It is also worth highlighting the power of doing a full-bleed embossing on a notebook. This can be used to create a very powerful visual impact.
It certainly lends itself to certain artworks and designs but if you have the right artwork this can be very impressive.
